To honor and tell the story of the Ukrainian oppression by the evil empire of Russia the main form is a combination of the Hammer and the Sickle, the blood red symbolizes the blood shed by the innocents of Ukraine. The pink strip symbolizes the cowardice of the bully. The downward gradating lines represent the ever-advancing pounding of the Ukrainian people. The black symbolizes the dark forces at work in any and every aggression against another race. The cool greens leading into the cool blue violet represent the peaceful people of Ukraine.
