In Thailand it is the color of mourning widows. It is a color of yearning depression. This form is in constant motion striving to escape its constraint to its stable base. This painting is about me, my mood, and my longing to be with you. The limiting bonds of the base the form is attached to is the distance between us and my own financial limitations that keep me from you. The hot reds are my passion to be with you. The lines jutting out from the form are my heart desperately reaching out to you in vain. This painting is my desperation to be with you and the knowledge that I may never be with you.
